Happily Ever After

This morning AGP came into our room at 5:45 am. She was very sad because her pants were "soaked all over! I need a dry diaper and cuddle time." I got up, pulled her soaked pants and overflowing diaper off, stumbled to her room to get a diaper. When I got back, AGP had taken possession of MY pillow. She cooperated while I put on a dry diaper.

I crawled back in bed and snuggled close. She turned her head to me and asked,"Mommy, where's my Papa? I need a hug from him before I can go back to sleep." She was so sweet. I rolled back out of bed and knocked on the bathroom door. Papa stopped his morning routine and came to hug his Pork Chop. (Thank goodness - I needed and wanted more sleep.) She rolled over, stole the covers, and seemed to be asleep. AHHHH!

A couple minutes later, I heard the water running, the dog snoring, and AGP rolling around {oh no, she is NOT asleep and I am going to have to get up before 6:00 am during the summer} I closed my eyes tighter and waited. AGP wormed her way very close to me and buried her toes under my legs. She was still again. AHHHH!

I had almost drifted back into my dreams when I felt one little arm slide under my neck and one across my neck with a little nose on my cheek ~ then I heard the sweetest words I have ever heard, "Mommy, thank you for all my happily ever afters."

AGP plopped her head onto my NEW {John's} pillow and fell fast asleep. I fell in love all over again!

Even Bubbles and Trash Cans are Better at Disney

I have often wondered and asked John how the cast members stay happy in the heat and crowds. John always says, "You are NOT allowed to be in a bad mood on Disney property."
Yea, ok, whatever. Well, now I know. This poor man had garbage can duty during the pre-parade festivities. It was blazing hot! Kids were getting cranky and needed naps. Misery for most people, but not this guy and AGP! Look at their faces - delight and fun all because of a bubble machine in a garbage can.
Guess it is true ~ You are NOT allowed to be in a bad mood on Disney property and the cast members make sure of it!
{Maybe the delight and pleasure on the little ones' faces
help the cast members stay Happy and not Grumpy!}

But it takes people to make the dream a reality." ~ Walt Disney

Why Disney World?

Some people just don't get it. They would never spend the time, money, or patience to go to Disney World. John and I have always been huge Disney fans. {Only one of us worked there!} Until this visit, I understood why some people would not want to go.
But after this one day experiencing the Magic Kingdom with AGP ~
I think everyone with children should go.

I think AGP's facial expressions say all that needs to be said!

It is a small and beautiful world that can be explored in honey pots and on flying elephants and carpets! I can't wait for November!

The Princess Meets her Princess Friends

Wee took AGP to Disney World for one day.
The plan was to add some strictly kid fun in between visits with family. Magic Kingdom in one day would be fun and a nice way to prepare AGP for a week in November!
So, our mission was to build some anticipation and let her meet all the princesses.

AGP and Belle after story time!

AGP's favorite princess is Aurora a.k.aBriar Rose by the Fairy Godmothers.

Look at that face! She was in awe!!

Cinderella and AGP had their very own ball.

They danced and twirled.

It may have been the sweetest thing ever!

Snow White was the very first princess we found!
AGP impatiently waited her turn ~
then immediately started twirling and dancing with Snow White.
It was precious!

No Fear!

Commodore and Dottie took us to downtown Melbourne for the street party.
A side street was set up for the kids to play. There were several very large inflatables!
AGP had a blast!

She climbed and climbed all the way to the top ~ several times!
At the top she would grin, flop down, cover her eyes and slide...

Giggling and screaming the entire way down!

A few times she flipped over and around half way down!
Look at those nasty feet! "Zippy Mart Feet!"

But every time. she was ready to go again!

The Princess and Her Handsome Prince

Easter Sunday brunch at the Marriott Grand National. Sitting in Papa's lap eating chocolate cake! AGP sat beside Mommy to eat vegetables and chicken!

Singing silly songs while watching the videos on You Tube. This may have been "Go Away Big Green Monster" by a freakish male kindergarten teacher in Japan or "Baa Baa Black Sheep" in English by the off duty Charter employees in India!

Merry Go Rounds!

How AGP loves to ride around in circles. Papa is stuck with this duty since Mommy gets motion sick!

Dress up time for the Princess and her Handsome Prince. The prince always rides in and saves the princess from the Evil Witch {Mommy}. Not even going to lie ~ that was quite the feelings hurter until AGP very carefully explained that there is always an evil queen in every princess story. She said the evil queen is important!

Like Father Like Daughter

When AGP was born, she looked exactly like Papa. There was no doubt!
When she was tiny, I noticed she slept in the same position he does ~ flat on their backs with heads turned to the side, and arms stretched out above them.
From the beginning, she has loved to read. Books, magazines, maps ~ you name it and she loves to read it. {or have it read to her}

AGP loves a goofy pose for a picture. She giggles! That came straight from Papa. I hate to have my picture taken and fell so dumb when I have to pose.

Not these two, they live for it!

Big on surprising people and celebrations. AGP insisted on a surprise party, Mickey Mouse ears, and a special cake for Papa's 40th birthday. So, that is what we did! AGP was so excited for him and could not wait for him to see it all! {This is another great trait she inherited form Papa. He is the best at celebrating and making us feel special.}

The great outdoors! Oh, how they love being one with nature. It doesn't matter how hot or cold. These two would prefer the outdoors. Thank God for this commonality. There is no way I can enjoy the woods, bugs, and all the other "fun" stuff that comes with nature unless the nature involves white sand and salt water!
Pretending is their favorite past- time. This happens to be the medal round of the Winter Olympics for figure skating. The of course were awarded GOLD!

Tea for Two

Seems like I have been very mushy and sentimental between Mother's Day and Father's Day. I have spent a great deal of time just observing and absorbing AGP. {Enjoying every single second of my AGP watching.}I have decided she is a remarkable and amazing little person.
Here is an example of AGP's unbelievably sweetness. She set a table {her wicker toy box} for a tea party for two. The two were Papa and AGP! She was a very busy little girl for about 30 minutes. No talking, no stopping, just steady work!
The little Martha Stewart pulled the photographs of herself from her armoire and used her new Princess Tiana {The Princess and the Frog} tea set. I think if you look close, you will see she used Play Doh to hold the candles in place.

After the table was set, AGP invited her guest of honor for tea. The two enjoyed petit fours and tea. It was most impressive.

I am certain that this was just the first of many!
