Just 5 More Minutes, PLEASE!!!!!

What was so important to beg for?

What an artist! What a time to be an artist!
It was bedtime on a school night.
AGP begged for 5 more minutes to do just one more thing...
We granted those 5 more minutes.

Those 5 more minutes turned into 15 more minutes!
It took forever to get all the paint off her little hand!
{pretty good piece of art - we'll keep that one}

I'm Not Tired!

Nap time! "I'm not sleepy."
{just cranky, loud, and down right irritable!}
"OK, OK, I'll watch a movie and rest."
Yes, she is sleeping on a bean bag on top of her bed!
I went into her room 30 minutes later and found this...
She was snoring and drooling!

I want to sleep that soundly!

Butt's Mill Farm

The girl loves a tall and fast slide!
AGP had been one time to BMF with John.
She remembered everything!
Who needs a map?
We just used her very detailed memory!
This large blow up contraption was called Boot Camp!
AGP got quite the work out!
She jumped, crawled, and slide her way through Boot Camp multiple times.
Notice the creek? So did she!
AGP was not happy when she realized that she did not have a swim suit!

AGP is getting the hang of swinging like a big girl!
AGP explored and played for hours!
It was a fun day!
Monkey!
AGP enjoyed the covered play area.
She spent over an hour there.
No complaints - shade and fans in the heat!
Where was our spring?

Touch a Truck

Touch a Truck
Drive, Jump On, and LOVE a truck!
AGP is trying hard to dig a hole or scoop dirt!
The city of Opelika sponsored Touch a Truck event.
There were all kinds of vehicles and machines for the kids to play on.
AGP had a blast!!!

AGP looks like a natural driving a cement truck!
What a way for a girl to spend the day!
AGP loved every minute of this adventure.
If the enemy sees her coming - they will surrender immediately!
She looks quite happy in the Army truck!
If the truth is known...
AGP thought it was a stage in wheels and was ready to perform.
{I am OK with a USO tour instead of a tour of duty!}
The world is not ready for AGP to have a Koabota or Polaris!
This will appear on this year's Christmas list, I just know it!
Of course ~ the shirt is pink!
How fun was this!
End your day by screen printing your very own shirt!
She still hasn't worn it. It is for very important days.

Random Dates with Papa

John updated his operating system for his blackberry.
These pictures were saved on it.
Everyone deserves a glimpse of what these two do together!
Grocery shopping at Earth Fare.
Earth Fare is a favorite trip. The toothpaste alone makes John happy!
Touch a Truck in downtown Opelika.
What a way to spend a Saturday!
Climbing in and on all kinds of big trucks and equipment!
AGP also helped make her own t-short to commemorate the day!
Feeding the ducks after school one day.
While I tutored after school, John and AGP found fun things to do!
They never came home right after school - never!
Camping - Momma's Style!
Who knows!
I am not even going to guess what was happening here!

Proof it snowed in Auburn!

Game On!

This was our 4th Relay for Life.
The theme this year was Game On! Beat Cancer!!
We had a good time.
Not as much fun as the past with John's whiplash
and AGP's new diabetes regime.
Face painting for our "Friday Night Tailgate"
AGP had a great time with the high school girls.
Peyton is one of her babysitters.
Not sure AGP realizes Peyton is older and in charge!
So still, so serious for Peyton.
Is this really AGP, still not moving or talking?
 Now, that;s more like it!
Most of us walked laps around the track.
AGP run up and down the hills surrounding the track.
When that got old, she rolled down the hills onto the track!
Ahhhh! That's more like it!
Pretty cute little booty!
Our team raised a little over $4000.00 this year.
GO Team AJHS!

Thank You, Easter Bunny..bwack, bwack!

What a great 40th birthday for me!
Easter Sunday!
Is it Easter or Christmas?
AGP appeared to be pretty happy with her Easter basket.
Wonder if she liked the pool toy, bathing soup,
dresses, or chocolate the most?
Carrots cause this smile?
Wow! I better thank the Easter Bunny.

You would think she never gets chocolate... hmmmm.

Momma and AGP doing the limbo!!
AGP, Mary Elizabeth, and Bailey having cake and ice cream.

These three were all about running off to blow bubbles!

Off they go again!!

We thought we would add a few snapshots from the birthday party!

Promises for Summer

We have 9 more school days!
Yes, single digits!!
We are thrilled!

Promises for summer:

~ I promise to update our blog more frequently.
~ I promise to do something productive each day.
~ I promise not turn the alarm clock off
{except for 2 am finger pops}
~ I promise to use the grill and patio regularly.
~ I promise to enjoy every single second with John and AGP!!

~ A life without love is like a year without summer ~

Gingham, Pinwheels, and Ladybugs

AGP turned 4, {almost 2 months ago and the party was almost a month ago} we haven't stopped yet!
Yucky germs and food poisoning have kept us busy.
Oh, and I turned 40! WOW!

We had AGP's party at Town Creek Park. It was a lovely sunny day!
The  theme was Gingham and Pinwheels.
The party was an old fashioned one with no real fussy stuff.
The children played silly games, blew and chased bubbles, and devoured cake!
AGP was happy and that's all that mattered.
She requested pin the tail on the giraffe and limbo! HUH???
We had limbo, but I did not create a pin  the tail on the giraffe game.
~ not mother of the year, I know ~

Gingham and Pinwheels became Gingham, Pinwheels and Ladybugs
when we saw the cake and AGP found a friend at the park! She loves a ladybug!!

These pinwheels were perfect for decorations and party favors.
We paired the pinwheel with bubbles!
Four year olds chasing bubbles is good for the hearts of 40 year olds!

Happy 4th Birthday, Anna Grace.
Has it really been four years already?

Just a swingin'
The swing was a huge hit for all the little ones.

Holly and AGP watching and swinging!

Parachute time... so simple yet so joyful!

Papa lighting the candle while AGP waits...
The party was a success!
AGP had a blast and loved stringing her birthday celebration out for weeks!
Off to plan next year's bash!
~ I already have an idea in mind ~
