WOW!!! Spooky

Remember my question for ideas to print the blog. After I posted the blog the following add was on the screen where I edit. It is a Twilight Zone moment...

Ummm - no pasting capability with the old design template {reason 1 for updating} BLOG2PRINT is a service that turns your blog into a book for $14.95. We will be researching this!!!

Guts and Energy

I am trying to work up the nerve to update the blog with one of the new Blogger Templates. I helped a friend start a blog with the new stuff. It was so much easier!! I just am terrified that I will screw up something and lose all the past posts.

Why am I so worried, you ask? Because I am a sorry momma that has NOT devoted myself to keeping a good baby book for AGP. I have general information written in her book, I even have a scrapbook styled one started, but this blog captures her.

I need to find a way to print the posts and pictures to slip into her baby book. Any ideas?

BTW, I do write all her priceless and precious quotes as well as major milestones on the family calendar. Because who doesn't want to remind her at 16 that she did not poot in 2010 she "had fireworks in her butt."

Yep, that is the funny little expression used
when most hysterical and priceless comments
spew from her brain to her tongue to the world!!!

Tears Over Fashions

Each night, AGP and I pick out clothes for the next day. I usually give her a couple options and she narrows it down. Last night, AGP selected the RED gingham a-line dress with her initial appliqued on the front. This morning at 5:30 am I started ironing. The dress was missing a button.

{AGP loves to snatch dresses off the hangers and put them on ~ she does this at least 5 times a day. Wonder where the button is? I am guessing on the floor in her closet.}

Needless to say, I was not hunting for a button and sewing it on at 5:40 in the morning on the second day of school! I just ironed the BLUE gingham a-line dress with flip flops appliqued on it. I packed the "tomorrow bag" and continued with the morning routine.

At 8:40 am, my phone started dinging! OOPS! I forgot to turn the volume off! I checked the message. It was from Mimi. She was taking AGP to pre-school. Apparently, AGP was not happy when Mimi tried to dress her.

{Yes, I drop her off in her pjs}

Mimi said AGP's eyes filled with tears and her bottom lip quivered. When she asked what was wrong AGP said, " I need my red clothes. I have already worn this 2 times this month!"

What have I created! For the record, AGP has yet to wear repeat outfit to school! And for those that asked at school, the answer is the same... "the weather will change before she has to wear something to school twice!"

Please understand - AGP wears play clothes over and over and over! She wears her school clothes at other times. We do get multiple wear out of all out clothes! But thank goodness for consignment shops, good friends, and my willingness to learn to machine embroider, hand smock, and sew. {Thanks to Julia and April my sewing muses!}

This was her first day of pre-school.

ps - tomorrow AGP will be wearing her dress form the Eiffel Tower! Sweet April bought her some more authentic French fashion from her summer trip! I think AGP believes that Madeline was with April when the dress was purchased.

Camping AGP Style

Papa and AGP met RaRa in south Georgia for a little camping.
They stayed in a cabin at a state park.
AGP referred to it as a cottage!
{like Briar Rose aka Princess Aurora aka Sleeping Beauty}

Swimming and bubbles were on the agenda everyday!

Hunting for rabbits ended up as pine cone collecting!

Many trips to Walmart!
Apparently, there was an extensive "Princess" aisle!

Sleepy time includes the "my very special green pillow"
Sweet dreams!

What Creativity!!

AGP wanted to water her plants. She had been watering for a while.
It was very quiet.
I peeked out my bedroom window and saw this....

She was very proud of herself.
AGP is pretty amazing and cute!!

Black and White Cookies

John loves Black and White cookies. It is a NY thing.
He buys them at Publix for $1.79 each!
So, AGP and i decided to make some for him.
We wanted them to be waiting on him when he got home form Austin, TX.
AGP was so excited!
The batter looked pretty awesome.

The baked cookies smelled and tasted delicious!

Icing.... yummy!!!

The finished product.
John devoured the entire platter.
(This all happened during July. Slow.... I know.)
