Goal!

Anna Grace has been doing a really great job at potty training. Here she is posing in front of her stickers for making it to the potty 35 times! We promised her a surprise when she filled the sheet, so now we have to figure out what she wants. We think we might take her to the movie to see Up. She's been really good about watching movies at home (The Lion King is her fave), so let's keep our fingers crossed for the movie theater.

Random - Everyday Stuff

Allergies! UGH!! I think she is about to lick her nose instead using a tissue. NO!!

AGP refuses to leave her wet bathing suit and swim diaper on after she swims. They must be removed immediately!

Looks like someone will be a master seamstress. She did all this without any help. Good thing the machine was unplugged.

Stupid bugs! AGP doesn't do well with bug bites. This nasty one called for a trip to the doctor and a round of antibiotics.

AGP's Friends

Isabella and AGP at the baby shower (May 25) for Isabella's brother, Alexander. He finally arrived Saturday, June 20th. These two little girls were loving all over him and telling all of us exactly what we needed to do with Alexander. (Poor fella... he just got here and is already being handled by the ladies!

Ruthie and AGP at the Sun Belt social last week. The were BFF's in seconds! We have to make some play dates for July.

Sam taught AGP exactly how to draw on the street with chalk. I am certain these two knew downtown Auburn was blocked off just for them! Well, it was, wasn't it?

Emily was the most gracious hostess even though it was a UF Gator party! She let AGP play with all her toys and taught her how to do many exciting things. It may have been Emily's big girl bed that made our transition so smooth. Thanks, Emily, Jeff and Samantha!

Before and After

We finally made the transition from nursery and crib to bedroom and big girl bed! It was much easier than we anticipated. She loves her big girl bed and the flower on it. She never questioned the missing crib. The first two pictures of her room before we transformed the room.

Here is the big girl bed before I sanded and painted it. We found it at a great store in Opelika - Resurrect. It is in the same shopping center as Angel's Antiques. GO!!

AFTER... here is the result. We are pretty excited with the outcome.

Father's Day 2009

John here. As an early Father's Day present (we wanted to have all our fun now before Sun Belt starts next week), Kimberly and Anna Grace treated me to a roadtrip to Birmingham.

The first stop was the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

This was one of the few times she stood still.

Here's Anna Grace walking off the path next to a sign that specifically tells parents to control their children and stay on the paths. Oops.

Anna Grace is fascinated with anything containing water. If she gets too close, she says, "I'm soaked!" I think she got that from MeMe.

This is the pensive look of Anna Grace, as she looks back on all the damage she's done.

This is one of my favorite pictures of the girls.

This is where things got weird. Anna Grace kept announcing, "I'm going to my school now." Then she would hang out underneath this gazebo, which was obviously her school. She was quite pleased when a large family with four children walked by and visited her school.

It was getting dark, so we headed out to dinner (where she was amazed at the roaring flames in the open kitchen) and then back to the hotel.

The next morning, Anna Grace took me to the complimentary breakfast in the hotel lobby. She said, "Papa, I really like this restaurant."

Then we went to the Birmingham Zoo. As soon as we arrived, Anna Grace was able to feed the giraffes!

She really enjoyed the butterfly exhibit. A few minutes after this picture was taken, she decided to give one of the butterflies a rock to hold. That didn't end well.

She wasn't sure whether this was Peter Rabbit or the Easter Bunny. Either way, she had to kiss his nose.

She was able to apply the skills she learned while watching her favorite episode of Calliou: "Calliou, the Dinosaur Hunter."

Great picture, eh?

Some -- but not all -- of the animals weren't traumatized by her visit to the petting zoo.

Anna Giraffe!

This was the best $5 mommy ever spent.

Looking sneaky.

We packed a lot of fun into 24 hours!
